José Francisco Vega Gallardo

José is a lawyer specializing in IT law, intellectual property, and personal data protection. He is also a forensic auditor, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a digital forensic investigator. He is a co-author of the collective work El Derecho de las TIC en Iberoamérica (ICT Law in Ibero-America) and has extensive experience in digital legal matters, including supporting crypto-related businesses. He has lectured in various academic programs, including the Legaltch Masters (Universidad de Salamanca) and the Joint Diploma in Fintech and Cryptoeconomy (Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua - USMA and the Corporate Governance Institute of Panama) and has been a speaker on fintech and cryptoasset–related topics at both national and international events, including the South School on Internet Governance, ACOBIR International Real Estate Expo-Congress, No Permissions Conference 2025, ETH Canal, Panama Blockchain Week and the Virtual Congress on Cryptoasset Regulation in LATAM 2025.
